Surajkund craft fair begins today: Gurdas Maan and Kailash Kher star performers
Gurgaon: The 39th Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Craft Festival 2026, set to begin today, will attract art and music lovers alike with a stellar line-up of renowned artists, such as Kailash Kher and Gurdas Maan, set to perform live at the festival.While Kher will perform on Feb 9, veteran Punjabi singer Maan will perform on Feb 8. The fair, which will last till Feb 15, will also feature performances by folk singer Mahabir Guddu on Feb 1; folk performers Hemant Brijwasi on Feb 2, Tarannum Malik on Feb 3, and Salman Ali on Feb 5.
Pop-sufi band Swarizm will perform live on Feb 6, followed by a stand-up comedy session by Amit Tandon on Feb 7 and a live performance by Punjabi singer Ashok Masti on Feb 12. Daily cultural programmes will be held at the main and maha stages, making music and dance a central attraction of the 16-day festival.According to Haryana tourism officials, entry tickets for the fair are priced between Rs 120 and Rs 150 on weekdays, while weekend tickets will range from Rs 150 to Rs 200 due to higher footfall. Children below five years of age will be allowed free entry.The 16-day fair will be inaugurated by Vice President CP Radhakrishnan at the Surajkund Mela complex on Saturday. Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini will preside over the ceremony.The fair will host over 1,200 stalls showcasing handicrafts, handlooms, and traditional art forms, with participation from more than 50 countries. Uttar Pradesh and Meghalaya are the theme states this year, while Egypt is the partner nation, offering visitors a taste of global crafts, cuisines and cultural traditions.
