By-Amit KumarKARNAL: Panipat deputy commissioner Virender Dahiya on Thursday carried out a surprise visit at the Panipat Municipal Corporation office and recommended suspension of two staffers for dereliction of duty.
The DC expressed his displeasure over the lack of cleanliness in the MC office and also sought details of postings of all 500 sanitation workers of the Panipat MC.
As per the information, the deputy commissioner reached the MC office on Thursday morning and found Yatin Kumar, a junior programmer of the House Tax Branch and sweeper Diblag Singh absent. Taking a note of the dereliction of duty, he recommended suspension of both of them.
Besides, he has also terminated services of a contractual computer operator Mamta Rani and ordered to charge sheet a regular supervisor Joginder Singh as he was not in his office and was sitting with a private person.
