GURGAON: Olympian and working chairman of All India Kisan Congress Bajrang Punia (30) has lodged a complaint with Sonipat police, alleging that he received a threat message from an unknown phone number on WhatsApp. Cops are probing the case and referred the same to court as the offence is non-cognisable."An unknown person sent a threatening message. Bajrang Punia lodged a complaint with Bahalgarh police. An FIR is yet will be registered," spokesperson for Sonipat police Ravinder told TOI. In the WhatsApp message sent to Punia, it is written that he should leave Congress or else they will show him what they are. "You can complain to anyone and this is our first and last warning. The number appears to be of foreign origin," police said.Olympians Bajrang and Vinesh Phogat have recently joined Congress. Immediately after joining, the party made him chairman of All India Kisan Congress and Vinish was given a ticket to contest from Julana assembly constituency. Punia said he will not contest the elections but he will campaign for Vinesh.
