Photos in uniform, parents’ Aadhaar cards must in govt schools’ forms

Gurgaon: Haryana Education Board has introduced a few changes in the process of application and admission for the upcoming academic session.
Students will have to upload their photograph wearing a school uniform while filling out the application form, otherwise, the application will not be accepted, the board has mandated.
The board has also mandated the submission of Aadhaar card details of parents in addition to those of the students. Meanwhile, the department of school education has extended the deadline for the online registration of students in Classes IX and XI until Oct 9.
Late fees will be levied if there is any delay in the registration process, the department said. Applications lacking the information — including photos in school uniform and Aadhaar cards — will be rejected.
"The portal will remain open for another week. Students who were unsuccessful in the previous examination and have already enrolled do not need to re-enrol . They are required to update their personal data," an official said.
