Gurgaon: A 56-year-old man was found dead at a hotel in Sector 14 on Wednesday.
A preliminary investigation suggested that the man took an overdose of sex stimulants that possibly triggered a cardiac arrest. "We sent the body to the mortuary for the autopsy," said police, who found the wrapper of the medication at the hotel, which was brought by the deceased.
A native of Nuh, the deceased, who worked as a driver at a post office in the city, came to meet a woman.
According to police, they received a call in the evening about a man lying dead at the hotel. They said his friend alerted the police. The body was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him "dead on arrival".
Police initiated inquest proceedings under Section 194 of the BNSS and said that no foul play was suspected. Later, the body was handed over to the family. His son was to get married next month.
