According to HUDA rules, sectors or colonies are developed by it after acquiring land. HUDA has to hand over the sectors to local corporations in the entire state to provide all facilities required by colonies and residential areas. Sources in HUDA office claimed that many areas under HUDA may be merged with the MCG areas later this year. The residents and colonizers will be kept in the loop during the entire process.
A senior HUDA official claimed that the municipal limits have to be expanded to provide better facilities to residents. MCG has more manpower to manage and ensure that the colonies developed by HUDA get better services. HUDA will now focus on expanding the city limits by acquiring more land and development of colonies, said the official.
HUDA is planning to acquire more land in Gurgaon and Manesar area. According to the HUDA master plan, the apex body has to develop over 100 sectors in the Gurgaon-Manesar region. HUDA is speeding up the process of acquiring land in many parts of the city.
At present, a large chunk of land has been acquired in Pataudi village area. In this region, HUDA is in the process to deliver plots to hundreds of people through lucky draw. Once these plots are sold, HUDA will start developing the entire place as per the master plan for colonies.
