Gurugram: Bike crashes into another, 2 men killed

Two brothers were killed on Wednesday evening after the motorcycle they were riding on collided with another near Bilaspur Chowk on the Rewari-Delhi road. They have been identified as 26-year-old Vivek Kumar and his younger brother Monu Kumar (25), residents of Nanukhurd village in Pataudi.

GURUGRAM: Two brothers were killed on Wednesday evening after the motorcycle they were riding on collided with another near Bilaspur Chowk on the Rewari-Delhi road.
They have been identified as 26-year-old Vivek Kumar and his younger brother Monu Kumar (25), residents of Nanukhurd village in Pataudi.
An eyewitness, Neeraj Kumar, who belongs to the same village, told police that the brothers were returning home on Wednesday evening when the accident took place.

"I was just riding behind their motorcycle. Another bike rider who was driving recklessly collided with Vivek and Monu's motorcycle who fell on the road. While the accused fled from the spot, I took the help of some passersby to rush them to a nearby private hospital. Doctors over there referred them to the Civil Hospital, but till the time we took them there, they were declared dead," Neeraj said.
Neeraj, who had noted down the vehicle number of the accused's bike, has shared it with the Bilaspur police. "After getting the information, we sent a police team to record the statement of the eyewitness. Based on his complaint, we have registered an FIR against the accused and teams have been formed to nab him. We came to know that both the brothers worked at a nearby factory and one of them, Monu Kumar, was about to get married in February next year," said Ajay Kumar, SHO at Bilaspur police station.
The unidentified accused has been booked under IPC sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence). Police had sent the bodies for autopsy and later handed them over to the family.
