Gurgaon: Burglars strike at parked car on MG Road, steal gadgets and 3,000 US dollars

GURGAON: Thieves targeted a Ciaz car parked on MG Road near MGF Metropolitan Mall and stole a laptop, 3,000 US dollars, and other valuables kept in a bag in the backseat. Police registered a theft case based on the complaint of the car owner.

Mayank Jain, a private company worker from Sector 9A, went to MGF Metropolis Mall on Saturday night.

"I parked my car on the service road of MG Road near the mall and went inside at 8.30pm. When I returned, I saw that the rear right side window glass of my car was broken, and the laptop bag kept inside was stolen. The bag contained my HP laptop, passport, and 3,000 US dollars," Mayank alleged in his police complaint.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case under BNS Section 305 (theft in a dwelling house, means of transportation or place of worship, etc) on Sunday.

"We will verify the CCTV footage at the crime scene and identify the accused soon," said head constable Anoop Kumar.
