Gun to driver's head, Lalu son-in-law's SUV stolen

Two armed men stole an SUV belonging to Lalu Prasad Yadav's son-in-law Vineet Yadav near the Sikanderpur Metro station on Wednesday afternoon after holding his driver hostage at gunpoint.

Gurgaon: Two armed men stole an SUV belonging to Lalu Prasad Yadav's son-in-law Vineet Yadav near the Sikanderpur Metro station on Wednesday afternoon after holding his driver hostage at gunpoint.
Vineet Yadav is married to Lalu's fifth daughter Hema. He was in Gurgaon for some personal work and reached Sikanderpur at 2.30pm in a white Fortuner.
He got off the SUV and asked his driver, Hari Prakash, to park the vehicle in a service lane near the Metro station.

According to the police complaint, two men came to the spot around 4pm and forced the driver to get off the vehicle.
They slapped the driver, threatened him with a gun, and snatched the SUV's keys from him.
They then sped away with the vehicle. Although the robbery took place at one of the busiest spots in the city, police did not find a single eyewitness to the crime after it reached the spot for investigation.
"We have registered the case at DLF phase II police station under Section 392 (robbery) of the IPC and under the the Arms Act. We have started the investigations. The accused will be nabbed soon and the vehicle recovered," said ACP (crime) Hawa Singh.
