Four held for murder of history-sheeter in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: Four persons were arrested for killing a 28-year-old man with criminal background in Sector 9 on intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The deceased was involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder, Excise Act and Arms Act and he had come out of the jail on April 4.

The deceased was identified as Rahul alias Rohit, a resident of

Colony in

Old Gurugram

. Rahul, accused in murder of gangster Neetu Gehlot, died after sustaining 10 bullet injuries. The accused pumped 10 bullets in his body. Rahul died on the spot.

“All the four criminals involved were arrested in less than 12 hours of the incident,” said commissioner of police Mohammad Akil adding that the accused had some old enmity with the deceased and they live in the same locality.

said the deceased was a

history-sheeter

and involved in the murder of Gurugram gangster Neetu Gahlot on July 10, 2008, and was on bail from April 4.

“The deceased’s family has alleged that he was killed by his friends over some enmity. We scanned the CCTV footage of the area to identify the accused,” said ACP adding police team managed to arrest the accused same day. A case under Section 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of IPC and Section of Arms Act has been registered at Sector 9 police station.

The victim’s brother Sonu, in his complaint filed with police, mentioned that his brother had some dispute with Manish aka Gola, Sunny, Mangal, Prem a resident of Firoz Gandhi colony and Vicky a resident of Jyoti Park about four-five months ago.

On Thursday midnight, the above-mentioned three persons came to Rahul’s house and called him out on the pretext of discussing something. “They took Rahul on a Honda Activa and a motorbike and later killed him. They all are behind the killing of my brother,” the victim’s brother Sonu told the police.

When Rahul did not reach home, is family members searched for him in the adjoining areas. They found him lying in a pool of blood near

in Sector 9. The family members informed police and took him to Sector 10 Civil Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
