FIR registered against teacher for beating up Class 1 student in Haryana’s Mahendergarh
Gurgaon: A Class 1 student was allegedly beaten up by a teacher at a private school in Haryana's Mahendergarh district. On Wednesday, an FIR was registered against the teacher following a complaint lodged by the father, two days after the incident. The incident — which took place at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School falling under the Nangal Chaudhary sub-division on Monday — came to light after a video showing the child's injuries surfaced. In the video, multiple long belts and swelling marks can clearly be seen on his body, indicating that the child was struck repeatedly with a stick or similar object. The video shows the father lifting the young boy's shirt, revealing several red and purple marks and bruises spread across his back. According to the child's father, the incident occurred during school hours when the boy approached the teacher to ask a question related to his studies. He alleged that instead of answering the question or helping the child understand the lesson, the teacher became angry and beat him up repeatedly with sticks. "He went to school in the morning like any other day. He went to the teacher to ask about his lessons and instead of teaching him, she beat him up with sticks," the father said. "Is this how they treat a child in the first grade?"
