GURGAON: The father of a 13-year-old boy who was found dead in his neighbour's house in South City II on July 6 has been booked for abetment to suicide along with his neighbour, who is also his business partner.
The autopsy report of Aryan Raj (13) revealed internal injury marks such as blood clots all over, suggesting that the boy had been beaten up.
The doctor, who conducted the autopsy, said that while the death was due to asphyxia, the boy was tortured before death.
The case took a turn when another neighbour, Chaman Prakash, filed a complaint with police against Aryan's father and his business partner on Tuesday night. Prakash, in his complaint, alleged that Aryan had committed suicide after being harassed and tortured by his father and his business partner.
Based on the complaint, police lodged an FIR on Tuesday against the duo under sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and 34 (common intention) of IPC.
Aryan, who used to go to the house of his father's business partner frequently, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her house. Deepika had gone to a nearby market in the evening and her two children were also not home, so the boy was alone in the house for some time.
She returned home to find Aryan hanging and informed his father. They then took him to a private hospital where the boy was declared "brought dead". Aryan's father runs a gym and fitness centre.
According to police, the father had claimed that Aryan had been assaulted by some people when he went to the market to recharge his phone. "We were waiting for a complaint and finally got it.
An FIR has been registered and we are questioning the woman, who claims that she was not involved," Rajesh Kumar, ACP (crime), said.
