The panchayat was chaired by Bhartiya Kisan Union (Tikait) state president Rattan Mann.
Rattan Mann said that if the government did not accept farmers' demands by December 24, the farmers would gather at all the sugar mills on December 25 and block roads in-front of the sugar mills for one hour.
He said that the government is forcing the farmers to hold protests on the roads as it is deliberately delaying the announcement of the Sugarcane prices to harass farmers.
He said that even though crushing operations in all sugar mills started last month, the sugarcane growers did not get a single penny yet.
During the panchayat the BKU leaders also formed a committee of farmers to lead the agitation.
