Ex-MP from Karnal dead

GURGAON: Veteran Congress leader and four-time member of Parliament from Karnal Chiranji Lal Sharma, who was also a former member of the Punjab Assembly, passed away at a private hospital in Gurgaon early on Monday.
Sharma, 88, is survived by his wife and three sons, including Kuldeep Sharma, who is Speaker of the Haryana Assembly and three daughters, an official spokesman said here.Born in village Ahulana in district Sonipat on September 23, 1923, Sharma was admitted to the hospital in Gurgaon a few days back following age-related problems.
