Cong means problems, BJP solutions, says Yogi
Gurgaon: UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath hit the campaign trail in Faridabad on Saturday with just a week to go for the Haryana assembly polls, describing Congress as a party synonymous with the country's problems and BJP as one that represents solutions.Speaking at NIT, where he was invited by BJP candidate Satish Phagna, Yogi accused the opposition party of being soft on corruption, anarchy and terrorism."Congress is the epitome of problems. All issues plaguing the nation currently are the party's legacy," he told the gathering of BJP supporters. "They were responsible for India's Partition, dividing the country on the lines of caste and language. Be it terrorism, Naxalism or anarchy, they flourished during the Congress regime. Congress embodies every problem in the nation. On the other hand, BJP is the one that provides solutions," he added.Adityanath asked voters to ensure "double engine sarkar" continued in the state for its third term so that there was "security, good governance and development". "We are coming up with better plans for your future. So, for good governance and overall development, it is essential to ensure BJP is in office for the third term. Under the new leadership of Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana will continue to set new benchmarks of development. That is why I have come to appeal to you to vote for BJP," he said. The UP chief minister also asked supporters to eradicate Congress from the state."To maintain this double speed of development, ensure the victory of our candidates Satish Phagna (NIT), Dhanesh Adalkha (Badhkal), Tek Chand Sharma (Prithla) and Moolchand Sharma (Ballabhgarh). It's time to eradicate Congress, which played the politics of caste, nepotism and corruption. Let us all ensure BJP's victory," Adityanath said.According to the senior BJP leader, Ram Temple would have come up in Ayodhya soon after Independence had Congress not failed to resolve the issue in 65 years."Modi ji became Prime Minister in 2014, and I was made the UP chief minister with his blessings in 2017. It was only when BJP formed the office in the state that the path was paved for the construction of the temple," he added.Adityanath moved on to national issues like the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, saying that "even maulvis have started chanting Ram Ram" after the decision. He recounted an incident during his recent campaign in J&K. "At the airport, I heard someone say ‘Ram Ram ji'. When I looked around, I saw a maulvi greeting me. Now, even maulvis have started saying Ram Ram. Soon, the entire nation will chant Hare Ram, Hare Krishna," he added.Earlier in the day, Adityanath campaigned for BJP candidate Arti Singh Rao in Ateli. There, he targeted Pakistan, saying while people in the neighbouring country were scrambling for roti, India was distributing free ration to its citizens.
