GURGAON: It's time again for 'I Inspire', an annual leadership conference that brings together corporate leaders, industry experts, business professionals and entrepreneurs.
And this year, the theme is inclusion.
The conference will attempt to identify what constitutes diversity in the workplace, and will look to explore questions such as how leaders can create a culture in the workplace where everyone - from differing backgrounds, and holding divergent views - is accepted and embraced.
Organized by 'Biz Divas' - a group of women that seek to present a space "for the women of our region to come together and raise a common voice," in an endeavour to promote women leadership in every walk of life - 'I Inspire' seeks to build a platform that can facilitate an exchange of ideas, that can be a place to network for professionals whose focus is on creating a working environment that celebrates diversity.
The day-long 'I Inspire 2015' that will be held at the Westin hotel on April 17 will feature interactive panel sessions and debates on topics like 'Including Men in Gender Initiatives', 'How Much Difference Does Difference Really Make?' and 'Women of Influence'.
Among the 25 speakers expected to share their experiences, ideas and thoughts at 'I Inspire' are Lalitha Kumaramangalam (chairperson, National Commission for Women), Vikas Bahl (director of 'Queen'), Wing Commander Pooja Thakur (the first lady officer to lead the Inter-Service Guard of Honour, inspected this year by US President Barack Obama), Sanjay Modi (managing director, monster.com, India/middle-east/Southeast Asia/Hong Kong), Anjali Gopalan (founder, Naz Foundation Trust), Priti Patkar (social worker and human rights activist) and A Muruganantham (social entrepreneur). More than 50 organizations will be represented at 'I Inspire', with over 250 delegates expected to attend.
