GURGAON: The city police have registered a case against three men who threatened a senior manager of a global bank.

An investigator posted at Sushant Lok police station said one Aminesh Kumar had applied for a job in the bank, but could not get through.
After that, Kumar called complainant Ashish Madan and threatened to kill him if he was not given a job. A day later, one Debashish Ghosh called the bank to push for Kumar’s case and projected himself as principal secretary of a Cabinet minister.
Initially bank managers ignored the call, but after a few days when one RK Chaudhary called posing as personal assistant of the minister, the bankers informed the police commissioner’s office about it. Gurgaon police commissioner S S Deswal subsequently ordered an investigation and on Friday evening a case was lodged against all three accused — Aminesh Kumar, Debashish Ghosh and R K Chaudhary under Section 506 of IPC.
"We have registered a case against the three accused. We are going through their call details, and are hopeful of arresting them soon. ," said Maheshwar Dyal, DCP (West).
Section 506 of IPC deals with threat to cause death, or grievous hurt. "Whoever commits, the offence of criminal intimidation shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both," says the code.
