AMBALA: In connection with a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust for stealing brand new

tyres

worth around Rs 10.23 lakh,

Ambala

police on Thursday arrested an accused Charanpreet Singh alias Mannu of Nangalchhama area in Rama Mandi of Jalandhar district.

The accused Charanpreet was produced before a local court on Friday which sent him to three-day police remand.

On November 22, 2019, Silak Ram of Petwar in Hisar district complained at Saha police station in

Ambala district

stating he owned a godown of Apollo tyres in Khanpur village in Ambala district. On November 14, a truck belonging to Kaka Transport, Ambala City, was loaded with brand new tyres worth Rs 10.23 lakh and it was to reach Srinagar and Jammu. The truck did not reach the destination and the driver had stolen the consignment."
