Ambala: Gangster Monu Rana gets life in murder case

The sessions court on Friday sentenced seven people, including gangster Monu Rana, to life imprisonment for the murder of Mohammad Mustaq, a resident of Bhabhat village in Mohali district.

AMBALA: The sessions court on Friday sentenced seven people, including gangster Monu Rana, to life imprisonment for the murder of Mohammad Mustaq, a resident of Bhabhat village in Mohali district.
On Thursday, the court had held eight people - Shamsher Singh alias Monu Rana, Jitender aka Tinda, Mohit, Sahil Khan, Sandeep, Deepak, Amarpal, and Saurav - guilty.

They have also been slapped with a fine of Rs 10,000 each.
Mustaq, a member of Bhuppi Rana group, had sustained bullet injuries in a gang war with the members of Monu Rana group, at Barara near Ambala on August 7, 2014, and succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at PGI, Chandigarh.
