Among the safety measures followed at the stadium are mandatory temperature checks at the entrance

To ensure that all safety measures are followed, the authorities have put in place a number of measures, including mandatory temperature checks at the entrance, and compulsory use of masks and sanitisers at the premises.

Athletes maintain social distancing while training

The coaches say that they try and maintain

social distancing

as much as possible during

training

and discourage much training in contact sports. Raj Yadav, District Sports Officer, Gurgaon, tells us, "We have received instructions from the Haryana Government and the Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner that we are following. First of all, any athlete under 18 need permission from parents to come here. We are not allowing more than 10 athletes per coach for individual sports and 18 kids in team sports because we have to maintain social distancing. Kids are coming for training in shifts to avoid overcrowding."
