Youth held with drugs at Karapur

BICHOLIM: Remote areas of Goa haven’t seem to be spared from drug peddling.
In a raid conducted by the Bicholim police, a youth from Poriem in Sattari was allegedy found in possession of ganja.
The police said that 80g of ganja was recovered from Suraj Shetye, 26, when the police conducted a raid near a garage at Karapur-Tisk, Bicholim, on Friday night.
Bicholim police said they received information from reliable sources about a youth engaged in possessing and supplying narcotics items at Karapur-Tisk.
On receiving the information, a police team went to the site and arrested Shetye. The accused has been booked under Section 20(01) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar is conducting further investigation under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
