Xeldem case: Both parties file plaints

QUEPEM: In a new twist to the alleged slapping of a villager by a lady ward member after Xeldem gram sabha on Sunday, both parties filed complaints with Quepem police alleging trespass and damage to their houses in incidents of stone pelting.
Gracie Fernandes, wife of Agnelo Fernandes, who was allegedly slapped by Lourecinha Correia in the alleyway of the panchayat hall, alleged that their house had been pelted with stones by the Correias, who are their neighbours.
Correia denied that she had assaulted Fernandes and said he had abused her with filthy language and pushed her outside the hall. She had filed the complaint with Quepem police.
