Vasco police educate panchas on safety
Vasco: The deputy superintendent of police, Vasco sub-division Gurudas Kadam, has convened a meeting of the elected panch members and councillors in order to brief and guide them about rising crimes and also to create awareness among them.
The awareness campaign came after a recent incident wherein a woman was robbed of her gold ornaments by some unknown person, posing as a police officer.
“It is the duty of every elected representative to play a vital role in creating awareness among people. Therefore, the Vasco police have convened the meeting in order to brief them about their role in society,” said Kadam.

Kadam stressed that the elected representatives should inform the villagers about such incidents in the society where strangers target innocent women. He said it is important to curb crimes.“It is the duty of every elected representative to play a vital role in creating awareness among people.
