Usgao's 'Koham' wins at Marathi drama contest

PANAJI: 'Koham' staged by Third Eye Organization, Usgao, secured the first prize at the 46{+t}{+h} Marathi drama competition held at Kala Academy recently. 'Vastraharan' presented by Kala Sangam, Headland-Sada and 'Shevanta Jitti Hai' staged by Ravalnath Saunskrutik Kendra, Harmal, bagged the second and third prize respectively.
Gurudas Naik ('Vastraharan') secured the first prize for direction, whereas Gurudas Gad ('Koham') and Dattaram Thakur ('Shevanta Jitti Hai') were awarded the second and third prize respectively.
The best actor award in the male category went to Vithoba Dabholkar (Vastraharan), while Nilesh Naik (Sur Rahu De) bagged the runner-up prize. In the female category, Anuja Marathe (Rahu-Ketu) won the best actress award and Sushmita Kamulkar (Bai Mi Dagud Fodate) won the second prize.
The prize for best setting was awarded to Sandeep Naik (Bai Mi Dagud Fodate) while Yuvraj Mangeshkar (Koham) was awarded first place for best light effects. The prize for best costumes was awarded to Sunita Chari (Koham) and the prize for best background music was won by Raju Parab (Vastraharan). Jayant Natekar (Vastraharan) won the best make-up artist award.
