Two workers crushed to death in Cuncolim industrial estate

CUNCOLIM: Two labourers, both migrants, were crushed to death in a steel rolling plant located in Cuncolim industrial estate in an accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
Police sources said that the two deceased Diwakar Yadav, 22, a native of Uttar Pradesh and Sanjeev Singh, 24, a native of Bihar, were employed at the mill.
Preliminary reports from sources said that the hydraulic pipe, which crushes and moulds the steel rods into a convex shape in the machine, gave way and came crashing down as a result of which the two workers came under it and were crushed to death in the process.
Both of them died on the spot. Cuncolim police are conducting further investigations.
