Two arrested for immoral trafficking

Calangute: Police in Calangute on Friday arrested two alleged pimps, Manjeet Singh, 33, a native of Punjab, and Mohammad Shakeel Ahmed, 52, a native of Telangana, and rescued three girls who had allegedly been procured for prostitution.
Calangute PI Paresh Naik said that following a tip-off, a raid was conducted at a rented house at Dongorpur, Naikawaddo, in Calangute and the two accused were arrested.They have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
The rescued girls have been sent to the protective home at Merces.
