TCP lodges complaint against illegal hill cutting in Pernem

PERNEM: A complaint has been lodged with Pernem police against illegal hill cutting at Kumbharwada-Pernem.
Vinod Kumar Chandra, town planner at the town and country planning department at Pernem, has complained that prior to November 30, 2012, the owner of the property in survey no.217/3 carried out illegal hill cutting in the said survey number at Kumbharwada-Pernem without obtaining the necessary prior permission from the authority concerned and violated the provision.
Pernem police has registered the offence under Section 17-A of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1974, and further investigations are in progress.
