: Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers welfare Parshottam Rupala stressed the need to reduce the use of fertilizer. He advises the application of organic manures and said that a biofertilizer production unit was vital for Goa.

- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa, to review its research activities and the different schemes for farmers by state agriculture department.

He stressed on the need to study the impact of adopting soil health cards to improve the yield and suggested that the Goa government and ICAR-CCARI link all soil health cards with farmers’
