"She said that she needed time to search for Nadia's mobile and passport at home. She claimed that she wanted to discuss the issue with her son Konrad, who is in the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behavaviour (IPHB) whether he recollects seeing Nadia's mobile and passport anywhere," said police sources. Sonia was asked to appear before crime branch for questioning on Wednesday morning.
Crime branch officials had already searched Nadia's house and other places, but so far had not recovered her passport and mobile. The police want to get her passport as they want to check out where Nadia had travelled in the last few months. Also they need her mobile to check out for the SMSs and any other details that would be in the mobile handset.
This was also brought up by the prosecution when demanding that Sonia's bail plea maybe rejected. But the court stated that the mobile phone numbers and other details are already with the investigating officer (IO) and only the conversation of such call details are required to be called from the service provider.
"The applicant is only arrested for destruction of some material, which is considered as a piece of evidence by the prosecution, which is an offence punishable under Section 201 of the IPC. If that is so, the said offence is shown as a bailable offence in the schedule of Code of Criminal Procedure, though it is punishable up to seven years. There is nothing alleged in the reply (filed by the crime branch) that the applicant is also involved, with regard to the offence of culpable homicide, which is in fact levelled against the main accused," the judge further remarked, while granting her bail.
Sonia was in Crime branch for almost 3 hours, during which she continuously repeated to the police that she wants to leave as she is tensed for her son Konrad and wouldn't be able to reveal much until she discusses the matter with Konrad. "Sonia said that she had tried to meet Konrad after she was released on bail, but barely got to see him as it was past beyond the visiting time in IPHB," said sources.
