PANAJI: Union minister for information and broadcasting Ambika Soni on Sunday visited Ravindra Bhavan in Margao, which is scheduled to host the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (Iffi) 2011.
The complex will be spruced up for the inauguration of the ten-day-long festival to be held in November this year.
A government spokesperson said that Soni was accompanied by joint secretary (films), ministry of information and broadcasting R P Reddy, Entertainment Society of Goa CEO Manoj Srivastava and other state officials.
Soni was shown a powerpoint presentation about the existing facilities at Ravindra Bhavan and the upgradation plans.
