’s Durgadas Kamat said that resolving the long-pending evacuee
property
issue of Mayem residents will be top
priority
if their candidate Santosh Kumar Sawant is elected.
At a joint press conference with Congress, Kamat said that Sawant will stay put in Mayem to resolve this and other issues and will not call the residents to Panaji.
He said that the anti-incumbency against BJP is very strong and expressed confidence in Sawant’s victory.
Congress’ Mahesh Yende said, “It has been found that the BJP government has given several jobs to youth from Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district, sidelining unemployed Goan youth.”
Congress-GFP alliance, if elected, will provide jobs only to locals, he said, demanding an inquiry into the matter.
