Ponda: Collem police have retrieved skeletal remains from a forest of an 85-year-old woman from Kumbharwada, Sacorda.Some skeletal remains, including a skull, appearing to be that of a human, were spotted in forest near Kumbharwada in Dharbandora taluka on Saturday. At the site, some clothes and a wooden stick were also found and based on the clothes, Ulhas Vadkar, 53, a resident of Kumbharwada claimed that it was his mother Lilavati Babuso Vadkar, 85.

Collem police then retrieved the skeletal remains and after getting the autopsy done on the bones at South Goa District Hospital at Margao, handed it over to her family for final rites.Collem police have registered the case as that of an unnatural death under provisison of the BNSS, 2023.
