Shripad Naik hospitalized

Panaji: Union minister of state for Ayush Shripad Naik, was admitted to sub-district hospital, Ponda and kept under observation for high blood pressure on Monday night. He was scheduled to leave for Delhi on Monday evening.

Before leaving for the airport on Monday, however, Naik visited the sub-district hospital, Ponda for a routine check-up. His blood pressure was found to be higher than normal, said the minister's secretary, Suraj Naik.

The doctor on duty advised that the Ayush minister be kept under observation for some time. "Otherwise, he is perfectly fine," his secretary said. tnn
