PANAJI: The ninth edition of
Semana da Cultura
, a festival that celebrates Indo-Portuguese culture in Goa concluded with the festivities ‘Noite de Gastronomia e
Musica
’ (An Evening of Indo Portuguese cuisine and Music) at Dona Paula, Goa.
The evening included a sumptuous selection of traditional Portuguese, Indian and fusion cuisine. Some of the traditional Portuguese dishes which were prepared include Pastéis de bacalhau, Amêijoas à bulhão Pato and Chouriço Berliners and the delicious Pasteis de Nata and a salad bar with a selection of fresh salads and many more mouthwatering delicacies.
An extraordinary line-up of musicians performed to offer an enjoyable musical experience. These included Efigenia, Omar,
Selwyn
and the Valentinos.
The festival which commenced in September saw a celebration of Indian and Portuguese culture including art, cinema, music, cuisine, literature and more. The annually held event is an effort to celebrate and appreciate the rich cultural flavours of the two nations.
