Scooterist dies in Ribandar bus collision
A scooter rider died on the spot following a head-on collision with a bus at Patto, Ribandar on Wednesday afternoon. Old Goa police arrested the driver of the bus for rash and negligent driving.
According to police, Antonio Francisco Colaco, 74, a resident of Chorao, was travelling towards Chorao on his scooter when he collided with the bus.
Gopal Krishna Naik, the bus driver and resident of Adpai-Dhurbhat, has been arrested.
Police registered an offence under Section 304A and Section 279 of the IPC for rash and negligent driving and causing death.
