Sakhali gets garbage helpline
If citizens come across a heap of garbage, or a family wants to dispose of a pile of it, they just have to call a helpline in Sakhali.
Bicholim: If citizens come across a heap of garbage, or a family wants to dispose of a pile of it, they just have to call a helpline in Sakhali.
Sakhali municipal council (SMC) authorities recently launched a helpline for citizens at the hands of deputy chief minister Francis D’Souza.
Through this helpline, SMC authorities will send a mobile van to lift the garbage within eight hours of receiving a call from citizens.
Speaking in the presence of SMC chairperson Dharmesh Saglani, councillors Milind Relekar, Damodar Ghadi, Riaz Khan, junior engineer Suhas Mashelkar and Gaurav Pokle, D’Souza called upon the people to cooperate and support the initiative.
Saglani said that citizens can either call on 7083456699 or 9923093426.
