Panaji: Goa police on Tuesday arrested two more persons in connection with the alleged murder of
Kapil Chaudhary, the 19-year-old from Uttar Pradesh. Chaudhary was allegedly killed by the owner of a rent-a-car agency and others after he was found trying to flee with a rented SUV last week
“Ravishwar Naik of Aradi-Guirim, and Vitthal Tuyekar of Anna Vaddo, Candolim, surrendered before the Colvale police and were later arrested,” North Goa SP Rahul Gupta said.
Last week, the rent-a-car company owner traced Chaudhary with the SUV to Maharashtra, brought him to Goa, and murdered him. Goa police arrested three people in connection with the case: 31-year-old resident of Candolim, Gurudat Subhash Lawande, the owner of the rent-a-car company, 31-year-old resident of Calangute, Daison Agnelo Coutinho, and 21-year-old resident of Candolim, Suraj Jotish Thakur.
Goa police on Friday received a phone call from an unidentified person informing them that a male person was lying by the roadside in a hilly area of Cansa-Tivim. Police personnel attached to the Colvale police station visited the spot and noticed that a male aged around 25-30 years, wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans, was lying in the grassy area at a distance of about 3m from the road at Pirna village.
A 46-year-old resident of UP, Shrinivas Singh, identified the body of his son.
