Speaking to media, FRRO superintendent of police V Gupta said that the police have confirmed information that Remo has obtained Portuguese passport and surrendered his Indian passport. “We are further investigating the case,” he added.
Owing to this new development, the police have sent summons — to be served to Remo in Portugal — to Panaji's foreigner regional registration office (FRRO) to send it to Indian embassy in Lisbon.
