Due to the reconstruction of the Parra panchayat building, the post office was first shifted to a house in Canca, and as there was no proper internet connectivity, it was then shifted to the first floor of the Mapusa post office building.
Although the reconstructed Panchayat Ghar was inaugurated in November 2020, the post office continued to function in Mapusa. Even the letter box of the Parra post office has been shifted to the first floor of the post office at Mapusa.
