Rash rider knocks down Briton in Calangute

Calangute: A 54-year-old British woman was seriously injured when a motorcyclist dashed against her, while she was walking along the streets in Candolim, late on Thursday night.
John Higgins, 58, a British national residing at Candolim, who was walking besides his wife Pamela when the incident took place, lodged a complaint stating that at around 11.30pm on Thursday, Anand Talwar, 23, a resident of Calangute, who was riding a motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner, dashed against the two of them.As a result Pamela Higgins suffered serious injuries and has been hospitalized, while John escaped with simple injuries.
A police investigation is under way.
