Railway police nab UP native in murder case

Margao: The Konkan Railway police, Margao, on Friday arrested a 34-year-old person, Sujeet Kumar Singh, a resident of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the murder of an unidentified person at the Margao railway station on April 2.
The accused was residing at Aquem, Margao. Police sources said that investigations in the case led them to the accused, who admitted to his offence.The body of the deceased has not yet been identified. The deceased was assaulted by some unidentified persons in the Mangala Express train on March 29, when he had halted at the Margao railway station.
When the train reached Ratnagiri, the victim was admitted to a hospital in the vicinity for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on April 2. tnn
