Priol resident dies in accident at Corlim

Panaji: Priol resident Akash Gaude, 27, was killed in a road accident on Wednesday, after a tempo dashed into his vehicle at Corlim, Old Goa. Police have arrested the truck driver, Pradeep Mahto, 21, for rash and negligent driving.

At around 2pm on Wednesday, the accused, a native of Bihar presently residing at Duler, Mapusa, was driving the tempo on the Kundaim-Mapusa route through Old Goa.

Police said that Mahto dashed into Gaude’s scooter that was also proceeding in the same direction. tnn
