Polling booth in Ponda moved over lack internet connection
Ponda: Lack of internet connectivity has forced the Election Commission to shift a polling booth in Ponda ahead of the April 9 bypoll in the constituency. An official said Govt Primary School at Kelbai (Tambdi) Curti had housed the booth for several years. However, since polling data must be uploaded online throughout the day, the booth has now been moved to Kendriya Vidyalaya at Zingdimol Curti. The earlier location, being located in a low-lying area, also posed difficulty in erecting a ramp for the benefit of physically challenged voters, while the new site requires none.Another booth nearby was shifted as its building, located at the near a veterinary hospital, has been marked for demolition
