Plaint filed against film shoot at Anjuna panchayat

MAPUSA: A police complaint was registered against Anjuna sarpanch, panchayat secretary and Nav Ketan Films for misuse and damage to public property.
Sources said the Anjuna panchayat office building was used by a film shooting unit at about 6pm allegedly in the absence of the panchayat officials. Some of the locals raised apprehensions as to how public property was handed over to the private party and that important documents at the panchayat were at risk, besides the risk of damage to public property.
Panchayat members Sheetal Dabholkar and Suhasini Govekar arrived at the site and questioned the film unit about the persimmon, which they failed to produce.
Govekar and Dabholkar, later, lodged the complaint at the Anjuna police station.
