While many were stunned, many others raised concerns regarding the implication this incident would have on the state’s image.

, told TOI while maintaining that such incidents are not not typical to just Goa and the state should not earn a bad name for the crime.

Wendell Rodricks, also a friend, expressing his shock said that the incident again highlighted the dangers single women face.
