Parulekar slams govt over damaged Chogm road

Calangute: Former tourism minister Dilip Parulekar slammed the govt and MLA Kedar Naik for repeatedly digging and not repairing the busy Chogm road from O’Coqueiro junction to Sangolda and the Pilerne-Saligao road.

Parulekar said the Chogm road was dug twice for laying electricity cables and a pipeline, but left with potholes and ditches till Sangolda, causing many accidents.

The Pilerne-Saligao road was closed for almost three months, and although recently repaired, cement and tar have washed down into homes and shops, and the paver stretch is also disintegrating, he said.

“The roads should be repaired immediately. If they can't even do such a small job, then the MLA should resign,” Parulekar said.
