Partagal Swami’s maiden stay at Porvorim mutt from today

Margao: Vidyadhish Teerth Shripad Vader Swami, the head of Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Mutt, Canacona, will commence his maiden stay at its Jeevottam branch mutt at Porvorim on Sunday. A ceremonial procession will escort the Partagal Swami from Neo Majestic to the Porvorim mutt at 6.30pm.

The week-long stay will feature a number of religious ceremonies, including ‘Geet Ramayana’, ‘santavani’, ‘rakshatraya havan’, ‘Vishnu havan’, and ‘laksha tulsi archana’.

The programme will also include ‘Durga namaskar’, ‘sri sukta havan’, ‘laksha kunkumarchan’, ‘mudra dharan’, and ‘Satyanarayan vrat’.

A special assembly has been organised on Jan 24 at 6pm. The event will conclude with Swamiji’s ashirvachan (benediction) on Jan 26 at 5pm before his departure, says a press note.

The seer’s visit is expected to draw devotees from across the state and beyond to seek Swamiji’s blessings and participate in the ceremonies.
