He assured his full support to the Kamleshwar education society if they wish to start such technical courses.
The government has offered job guarantee to farmers parting with their land to the green field airport. However, there are apprehensions among the locals about the kind of jobs the airport will offer the poor unskilled and illiterate people of Mopa.
"Farmers providing land to the airport should get the benefit of job opportunities and to avail these there must be trained manpower for which technical institutions are required". "If the Kamleshwar education society wishes to set one up, the BJP will support it," Parrikar told the secondary students.
Zilla panchayat member Deepak Kalangutkar, ex-MLA Rajendra Arlekar, Kamleshwar education society chairman Dasharath Gawde and others were present on the dais.
