Nod to 50% stipend hike for GMC interns

Panaji: The state cabinet on Wednesday increased the stipend to MBBS interns of the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, by 50%.
The dean of Goa Medical College had told state govt that the academic screening committee meeting, which was conducted on Aug 16, 2023, had recommended increasing the stipend provided for MBBS interns.
The amount would be increased from the existing stipend of Rs 20,000 per month to Rs 30,000 per month for the MBBS interns.tnn
