No major change in max temp until March 27: IMD
Panaji: Goa is set to experience dry weather conditions for the next week with no large change in maximum temperatures, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather is expected to remain dry until March 27, with no major fluctuations in temperature as per the forecast.
The IMD has forecast maximum temperatures in the range of 34-35°C across both North and South Goa districts. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur on March 22 and 23, which may lead to temporary reductions in visibility, particularly in the early morning hours. Despite the fog, residents can expect mainly clear skies throughout the day.
The maximum temperature is expected to stay consistent at 34-35°C over the next seven days, with minimum temperatures ranging between 24°C and 25°C. Over the next 24 hours, the weather will remain predominantly clear, though some haze is expected. The forecast predicts that the maximum and minimum temperatures in Goa will hover around 34°C and 24°C, respectively.
On Friday, Panaji recorded a maximum temperature of 35°C, while Mormugao registered a high of 33.8°C. The minimum temperature recorded in Panaji was 24.8°C, while Mormugao saw a slightly higher minimum of 25.6°C.
Residents of the state are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat, as the dry spell is expected to continue until month-end.
